People can fool themselves into thinking they have no sin (or at least no major sins). Israel thought they had no sin too even while though they had plenty ( Hosea 12:8 ). More importantly, Israel had lost its love for God.

The idea that we have "done enough" or have no sin is dangerous because it dooms us to mediocrity. Taylor presents a lesson about how Christians must learn to love God more fully and never make the mistake of being satisfied with where we are.
