Who Are God's People?

The Bible defines God's people and addresses them many ways: Saints, Christians, the church, members of the body, the Bride of Christ and more. Although we often are called the church of Christ, any of the descriptions called out in scripture are appropriate for God's people. The Bible requires that God's people be united. However, he also commands God's people to love truth. The church cannot accept untruths in the name of unification. The church that meets in Kenosha strives be God's people exactly as God has defined them in scripture.

The Church Today

The true church today is no different than it was in the first century. God adds to his church and he gets to define it. The church can be determined through one source: the Bible. We believe we are the church of Christ because we follow only the Bible. We do not base the church on our own ideas and opinions. No creeds, strange doctrines or other perversions should be accepted into the church and are not accepted at the church that meets in Kenosha.

What to Expect in the Church of Christ

The members of the church of Christ attempt to do everything in accordance with the word of God. All of our activities within the worship service and Bible study follow this principle.

Visitors will not have to participate in the service publicly and we will not put down those who are new to the scriptures and the church.
